Computer-assisted implant treatment planning is a technology which uses data acquired from the computerized tomography and an appropriate software to perform virtual placement of dental implants during the treatment planning stage. Later on in the treatment process, this technology can be used to fabricate a sugical stent to accomplish precise implant placement in the most desirable position.
